Success is the result of hard work and perseverance and to celebrate the spirit of success, DPS Indirapuram organized the Scholar Badge Ceremony for the students of class VI on 23rd October, 2018. The ceremony was held to honour the young achievers who had worked with single minded devotion towards achieving excellence in the field of academics in class V in the session 2017-18.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school Principal, Mrs. Meeta Rai, Vice-Principal, Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela and Headmistresses, Mrs. Priya John and Mrs. Eram Abedi. The school Principal, Mrs. Meeta Rai congratulated the young scholars and expressed her sense of fulfillment on seeing the large number of achievers. Emphasizing on the holistic approach adopted by the school, she said that the school constantly strives to draw out the inherent talent of its students and give them confidence and exposure to face today’s challenges, grooming them to be winners in the classroom, field or on stage. She also took the opportunity to mention some of the outstanding achievements of the students of the school who had excelled in the arena of sports and other co-scholastic activities. She concluded her address with an inspiring poem on ‘winners’ urging the students to aim for the gold medal, the ultimate symbol of excellence.

On this occasion, the school Choir mesmerized the audience with a song on team sprit – ‘Aao hum sab hath milaye’ and the school Dance Troupe enthralled the gathering with an electrifying performance.

The school Principal, Mrs. Meeta Rai felicitated the young scholars who had secured 85% and above with badges and certificates. 273 students of class VI were awarded scholar badges for their outstanding performance in academics. Students who had excelled in swimming and Badminton Championships at the State level or the Regional level were also felicitated on this occasion.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Jeena Rachel, Academic Coordinator, Middle School.
