• Students can avail the school transport subject to the availability of seats. The routes of the school buses are framed to accommodate the need of the students. However, the routes cannot be changed at will to suit individual convenience. School transport is an optional facility available for students. Kindly opt the facility by going through the norms of the Transport Department of the school.
• The school does not take the responsibility of providing bus facility to all areas.
• The Transport Form & Declaration Form is required to be filled in order to avail the school transport. These forms can be collected from the transport in-charge from the school Transport Department. The duly filled forms should be submitted in the Transport Department.
• The total transport fee is determined by the distance the student travels. Please note that the transport fee is charged according to the route taken by the student.
• No queries will be entertained for changing of existing bus routes, stops and for extension of routes during the session.
• While calculating the bus fee, part usage during any month will be counted as a full month.
• The Transport fee is charged for 11 months, however it is divided into 12 months and charged quarterly.
• No refund will be permissible once the transport fee has been paid.
• A written application must be given one month in advance to discontinue the transport
• facility and the dues for the quarter of withdrawal shall be paid.
• In case of any change of a temporary or permanent nature, in transport pick up/drop point or transport route of any student, the permission for the same has to be sought by giving an application to the Transport Department in the School office at least 15 days in advance.
• The School bus service cannot be made available for a few days (if desired by the parent);
• bus facility can only be opted for a minimum of one quarter.
• The bus facility will be withdrawn immediately if the fee of the quarter is not paid within the due date.
• The School reserves the right to deny the use of the bus to any student at any time and to change or to cancel any particular route, when necessary.
• Students availing the bus facility will not be allowed to go in supervision / as private commuters.

  Bus Discipline

“The more disciplined you become, the easier life gets.“

• Students must remain seated while the bus is in motion.
• Students must obey the instructions of the Bus In-charge.
• Students must maintain a respectful and positive environment in the bus.
• Students must not damage the seats, or any other property of the bus.
• Parents are requested not to enter the school buses to see off and receive their wards.
• Parents should not try to overtake and stop the school bus to facilitate the boarding of their wards as this endangers the safety of the bus and its occupants.
• Parents must not argue with the teachers present in the bus or the conductor/driver. If there is any problem, a written application/mail may be sent to the School.
• If any parent whose child is availing school transport service wishes to take their ward privately in his/her own transport on a particular day, he/she should inform the Transport In-charge, class teacher and the bus in-charge at least a day before. An application for the same is to be sent on ERP/Mail by the parent with proper approval from the transport department. Please note that this would not be allowed for a prolonged period or repeatedly.
• Parents of students (or whoever is authorized by the parents) have to be present at the bus stop to receive their wards, failing which the students will be brought back to the  school.
• Once the bus route is set, no change in the pickup and drop stop will be entertained.
• No student shall be allowed to travel by school bus without the student being a bus student.
• All the students using the school bus are expected to be at their bus stops at least five minutes prior to the arrival time of the bus. The buses will not wait for latecomers.
• The children should stay away from the main road until the bus arrives.
• No student should come near the entry door of the bus unless it has made a complete halt.
• All students must occupy seats immediately after boarding their buses.
• The front door of the bus is the only authorized entrance and exit.
• The drivers are authorized to stop buses at the designated stops only. The list of stops is prepared keeping in view the safety of all bus commuters.
• When the bus is in motion, students must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
• Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
• Students will be held responsible for any damage caused to buses due to negligence or vandalism and strict disciplinary action will be taken.
• Unruly behaviour like shrieking and shouting is strictly prohibited. Courteous behaviour is expected at all times.
• The driver’s attention must not be distracted for any reason.
• The bus teacher and student bus monitors are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any act of indiscipline will be reported to the Discipline Committee.
• Parents are requested to mail the Transport Department for Allotment/ Withdrawal/Change of Bus routes  at transport@dpsindirapuram.com Bus facility will be confirmed based on the availability of the same.  
• Students who are not using school buses are called Private Commuters / Supervision Students (Nursery-V).
• Parents should also monitor the safe arrival and departure of their wards from school if they are commuting to and from the school in their personal vehicles or in private vans.
