New Initiatives

We, at DPS Indirapuram firmly believe in adapting to the evolving needs of our school community, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Hence to provide an environment that nurtures the growth and success of every student, we have taken transformative initiatives which will surely go a long way for the holistic growth of the students.

1.Vertical Farming

The students of DPS Indirapuram designed an innovative Vertical Farming model using the Hydroponic Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to sustainable and technology-driven agriculture. The model demonstrates the circulation of a thin film of nutrient-rich water through plant roots without the use of soil, ensuring optimal growth, reduced water consumption and faster crop cycles thus providing hands-on exposure to real-world applications of design, engineering and environmental science. The project nurtured awareness of modern farming and agri-technology, reflecting DPS Indirapuram’s strong commitment to experiential learning and preparing students for future challenges and emerging careers. The project was led by the students of AI and D&T teams.

2.Class Assemblies

Our endeavours focus on holistic education by seamlessly integrating values, life skills and experiential learning into everyday school life. Meaningful class assemblies serve as a vital platform to reinforce these principles, encouraging reflection, collaboration and responsible citizenship.

Active participation in assemblies significantly enhances students’ confidence by helping them overcome stage fright and develop effective communication and public speaking skills. These forums also provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and ideas, thereby nurturing self-expression. Collectively, such experiences strengthen a sense of belonging, unity, and pride within the school community, contributing to the overall development of well-rounded individuals.

3.New ERP

From the upcoming academic session, the school will be introducing a new and advanced ERP system. The new ERP mobile app will be more user-friendly and designed to keep parents seamlessly connected with the school. It will provide easy, one-click access to important information such as academic updates of your ward, school notices, and communication with different departments of the school. The platform aims to make information more accessible, organized, and interactive for parents.

 PROGRESSIVE ENDEAVOURS

DPS Indirapuram is always committed towards taking progressive steps to foster a learning environment that is not only academically rigorous but also focused on the overall development of our students. This year, we are proud to highlight several progressive endeavours aimed at enhancing the educational experience and ensuring that our students are well-prepared for the future.

1.AI and D&T Lab

To provide students with hands-on experience in the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence, the school has a well-equipped AI Lab. This state-of-the-art lab offers a wide range of learning opportunities, from coding and programming to exploring AI applications in real-world scenarios. The AI Lab aims to equip students with essential future-ready skills while fostering creativity, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.Complementing the AI Lab, the Design & Technical (D&T) Lab encourages students to transform ideas into practical solutions. The D&T Lab provides a creative workspace where learners engage in design thinking, innovation, and project-based learning. Through hands-on activities involving model making, prototyping, tool handling and material exploration, students develop technical skills, spatial understanding, collaboration, and an appreciation for design processes. The D&T Lab nurtures innovation, confidence and experiential learning preparing students to approach real-life challenges with imagination and practical insight.

2.Crossover Exam

One such initiative is the CROSSOVER EXAM in Mathematics. At DPS Indirapuram, we believe that it is important for the students to master the fundamentals of a subject before they move to the next level of schooling. This is specially so for mathematics where understanding foundational concepts are crucial for tackling more advanced topics. Thus, with a view to assess a student’s understanding of the difficult concepts of mathematics and suggest areas of improvement, the school holds a self assessment CROSSOVER EXAM in mathematics for students of classes V and VIII. It is mandatory for the students of the above classes to appear for this exam and qualify in order to be promoted to the next class.

3.Life Skills

Along with academic excellence, the school is also committed to facilitate the harmonious development of the body, mind and spirit. In its endeavour to ensure the physical well being of the students and equip them with the important life skill of swimming, the school has initiated free swimming classes under able instructors for the students of Class VII during the summer break. This initiative will surely help increase muscle strength, eye-hand coordination, stamina and persistence among the students. It is thus mandatory for all students of Class VII to attend these classes and clear the swimming test along with academics to get promoted to Class VIII.

4.Mindfulness

Understanding the importance of building social-emotional skills in school and to encourage empathy, patience and self-compassion, fostering a supportive and respectful school environment, the school introduced Mindfulness Program–'Ehsaas'. The program has been designed to help students manage stress, improve focus and promote emotional well-being. It will witness regular mindfulness sessions including activities such as meditation, breathing exercises and guided reflections.

5.Kavach

In order to empower students with essential skills to protect themselves in challenging situations, the school launched Kavach-Self Defense Program. This program teaches students a range of practical self-defense techniques, focusing on physical strength, awareness and confidence-building. It aims to equip students with the knowledge and ability to stay safe while fostering a sense of empowerment. The sessions are conducted under the able guidance of trained professionals.
