Promotion Policy

PRE-PRIMARY

 Assessment Structure for Classes-PRE-PRIMARY

The Session is divided into three terms:

Term - I : April to August
Term - II : September to December
Term - III : January to March

 For scholastic areas the students will be assessed at the end of each term on a 3 point grading scale as follows:

Beginner / Progressing / Proficient

Co-Scholastic Areas

Co-Scholastic activities like Art & Craft, Dance, Music and Physical Education will be carried out regularly and graded term wise.

CLASSES-I & II
Assessment Structure for Classes-I & II

The Session is divided into two terms
Term - I : (April - September)
Term - II : (October - March)
The students will be assessed at the end of each term on a 5 point grading scale which is as follows:

O Outstanding

For the holistic development of students, Co-Scholastic Activities, Art Education (Art/Dance/Music), Computer Science and Physical Education will be carried out and graded term wise.

CLASSES-III TO V
Assessment Structure for Classes-III TO V

According to the assessment structure & examination pattern, the session is divided into two terms - Term I & Term II

Thus there are four assessments in a year i.e.,
Periodic Test-1 and Half Yearly Exam in Term I

FINAL RESULT (100 Marks) = 50% of TERM I + 50% of TERM II

Assessment of holiday homework will be based on presentation, neatness, content and work done by the student.
Assessment of notebooks will be based on class work, timely submission and neatness.
Subject Enrichment activities will include poster making, models, group activity, enactment, role play, quiz, etc.
Students scoring 40% and above in all subjects and in the aggregate will qualify for promotion to the next class.
Scholar Badge for classes IV & V will be given on the basis of the Final Result (100 marks).

Co-Scholastic Areas

For the holistic development of students, Co-Scholastic activities like Friday Activities, Art Education (Art/Dance/ Music) and Health and Physical Education (Sports & Yoga) will be carried out and graded term wise on a 5 point scale.
The students will also be assessed for discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respect for rules and regulations, attitude towards people and property, respect for nature and environment and others on a 5 point grading scale.

CLASSES-VI TO VIII

According to the assessment structure and examination pattern, the session is divided into two terms Term-I & Term-II

Thus we have four assessments in a year, ie. Internal Assessment-1 and Half Yearly in Term-I

The Periodic Assessment in Term 1 carries 20 marks, under which students will take a pen and paper test of 25 marks (whose weightage will be reduced to 5 marks).
Note : The assessment pattern for Term - II is the same as the pattern for Term - I. However, Scholar Badge will be given on the basis of the average of the two terms.

Thus in class VI, the syllabus for the Annual Examination will include 10% of the syllabus of the First Term, in class VII, the syllabus for the Annual Examination will include 20% of the syllabus of the First Term and in class VIII, the syllabus for the Annual Examination will include 30% of the syllabus of the First Term.

Co-Scholastic Area

For the holistic development of students, co-scholastic activities like Work Education (Thursday Activities) Art Education (Art/Dance/ Music) and Health and Physical Education (Sports & Yoga) will be carried out and graded term wise on a 3 point grading scale.

The students will also be assessed for discipline, which will be based on attendance, sincerity, values, behaviour, tidiness, respect for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others, on a 3 point grading scale.

3 Periodic Tests will be conducted in the Academic year for every subject. Average of the best 2 Periodic Test marks will be taken for final submission of marks.

Periodic Tests will have a gradually increasing portion of content.

Annual Exam (Class IX) and Board Exam (Class X) will cover 100% syllabus of each subject. Different activities will be conducted over the year for Subject Enrichment and Multiple Assessment.

(B) Co-Scholastic Areas :
Students will be graded for Art Education & Health and Physical Education (Work Experience subsumed) on a 5 point scale (A-E).
Discipline will also be graded by the class teacher on a 5 Point scale (A-E).
Note :
Pre Board Examinations (for Class X) will also be conducted.
The above assessment scheme is subject to change as per CBSE guidelines, received from time to time.

3. Promotion policy for class XI will be as per CBSE bye-laws.
4. The above Examination Scheme is subject to change as per CBSE guidelines, received from time to time.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS

Success is no accident.


It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice,
and most of all, love for what you are doing.

The school has a system of awards and recognitions to felicitate the achievers. Badges will be given to students for different levels of achievement. It would be a clear testimony to the students’ level of achievement and academic excellence. The student will be awarded the Gold Medal after receiving the Scholar Badge for 7 consecutive years.

Kindly note the criteria based on which the Scholar Badges will be awarded to students.

 Note: A student will not be eligible for a Scholar Badge if, in the academic year:

1. The student has been found guilty of gross misconduct and has been issued two or more yellow cards.
2. The student has been suspended from school for any period of time for any act of indiscipline.
3. The student has been found guilty of being involved in any defamatory activity against the school.
4. In case of any dues that are pending with the school Accounts Office, as per the school fee structure.
5. No scholar badge certificate would be awarded to a student who does not appear for the Half Yearly / Final Examination.
6. All awards are at the discretion of the Principal/School Management.
7. Also note if the scholar badge is lost, a payment of Rs 500 will be made to get a new one.

Proficiency Award and Scholarship Award

It is our pleasure to inform you that from the session 2022-23 onwards, the school has decided to honour and recognise the efforts of the meritorious and outstanding academic achievers by felicitating them with Special Proficiency and Scholarship Awards.
Following are the Special awards and Scholarships for the session 2025-26 based on the performance of last Academic Session (2024-25).
Subject wise Topper of all classes from class III to class IX will be awarded Certificate of
Excellence in the particular subject.
Class wise Topper (of all sections) from class III to class IX will be awarded Class Topper Certificates.

NOTE: No certificate will be awarded to a student who is exempted in any subject.
The All India Topper of Class-X Board Examinations (Scoring 100% in all subjects) will be given 100% waiver in their Annual school fee of Class-XI and Class-XII.
Students scoring 98% aggregate and above in Class-X Board Examinations in the five main subjects will be given 25% waiver in their Annual school fee of Class-XI.
Students eligible for fee waiver must apply within 30 days of declaration of class X Board result. No application will be accepted beyond the said period.
