DPS Indirapuram (Prep) students participate in ‘Know How Your World Moves’ Activity

An informative activity on various means of transport was conducted for the children of class prep on 28^th and 29^th November, 2018 at DPS Indirapuram. The children loved the activities which included discussion on various types of air, land and water means of transport such as cars, trucks, aeroplanes, ships and more.

Using cutouts of various modes of transport, the children participated in a collage making activity which was later displayed in the class.  This was followed by a rhyme session where the children recited poems on their favourite modes of transport. The teachers actively participated in this session and joyously recited rhymes with them. A small exhibition was held in the amphitheatre where the children were familiarized with various means of transport using many cutouts and working models. The tiny tots appreciated the exhibits and thoroughly enjoyed the session.  

The children also went around the school spreading the message of road safety. The school Principal, Mrs. Meeta Rai encouraged them and lovingly interacted with them. The children were taken to the Transport Department, Administration Department, Accounts Office, the Guard Room, etc. where they interacted with the school staff and stressed on the importance of wearing helmets while riding two wheelers. They also handed out cutouts to the excited and curious staff members, bearing different slogans related to the road safety norms.

It was a real pleasure to hear these tiny tots speak confidently about the need to use safety belts, wear helmets and follow the traffic rules. The ‘Know How Your World Moves’, activity surely enlightened the young students about the means of transport.
