Report-Interact Club Installation Ceremony

The Installation ceremony of the Interact Club of DPS Indirapuram was held on 16^th November, 2018. The Interact Club which is a part of Rotary International aims to spread the message of ‘Service Before Self’ amongst students aged between 12-18 years. The installation of the club was an initiative by the school Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai to imbibe the values of selflessness, sacrifice and empathy amongst the children of the school, in keeping with the school motto and its holistic approach.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Smriti Sharma, President Rotary Club Kaushambi and other eminent Rotarians, Mr. S.K Mishra, Ms. Preeti Nandy, Mr. P.Kumar and Mr. Karan Kumar.

The Ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the guests. This was followed by the announcement of the Board Members of the Interact Club of DPS Indirapuram (2018-19) and the pinning of badges. The Secretary of the Club, Mr. Achyut Aryan presented the report of the past accomplishments and future plans of the club which included,   visit to orphanages, sessions on menstrual hygiene with women slum dwellers, weekend classes on art and craft, life skills for underprivileged kids and clean environment campaigns.

The guests for the day also addressed the students and emphasized on the values of selfless service and importance of altruism. The session ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the Club President Ms. Netra Kumar. The Ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
