Self Defense Workshop organized at DPS Indirapuram

Delhi Public School Indirapuram organized a workshop on Self Defense for the girl students of classes XI and XII on 15th May’18. The school collaborated with Invictus Sciences, an established training and consultancy service institute for personal and organizational safety. The workshop covered avoidance, mitigation and basic bio-mechanics of self-defense that could be easily learnt by the young girls without having any prior experience in martial arts. 

Senior Safety Consultant at Invictus Combat Safety-Wellness, Mr Abhishek Singh urged the girls to be conscious and aware of their surroundings and even discussed several effective ways through which they could identify safety threats. By taking an active part in the demonstrations and learning basic techniques to escape an attacker, the girls were made to feel more confident about preventing and handling any unfortunate incident. 

The workshop proved that gone are the days when women were meant to be helpless and dependent. The girls learnt an important lesson that with proper knowledge, determination, confidence and alertness, women can surpass any obstacle or untoward incident that may come their way.
