Scholar Badge Ceremony for Classes XI & XII

DPS Indirapuram held a scholar badge ceremony for classes XI & XII on 30^th October 2018 to felicitate the students for their remarkable academic achievements in the session 2017-18.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. B. P. Khandelwal, Member DPS Society. Mrs. Santosh Bansal, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Indirapuram presided over the function.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed guests. The school Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai welcomed the guests and the parents of the scholar badge awardees and congratulated the students for their exemplary achievements and lauded their parents for their involvement and support. She proudly termed the school a ‘winning school’ while sharing the remarkable result in CBSE class XII exams as well as other competitive exams. She expressed her gratitude to the School Management for its unstinted support and contribution to the development of the school that has grown not only in size but also in stature and repute.    

In keeping with the mood, the school choir presented an inspirational song 'When You Believe' followed by a foot tapping dance performance by the school Dance Troupe on 'Kar Har Maidan Fateh'.

The Chief Guest Prof. B. P. Khandelwal, Pro-Vice Chairperson Mrs. Santosh Bansal and the School Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai presented the Scholar Badges and Blazers and the coveted Blue ties and the Gold Medals as the students walked beaming with confidence on the stage. This year, 68 students were the proud recipients of the prestigious Gold Medals awarded for their excellent academic performance for 7 consecutive years. 61 students received the Green Badges, 34 were awarded Blue Badges, 15 with the Blue Blazers while 126 students were felicitated with the Blue Ties. On this occasion, Vaibhav Rana of class XI was felicitated for 100% attendance for three consecutive years. 'Kriti Joshi Memorial Award', a special award for the Best Anchor was presented to Dhanush Pathania for his exceptional oratorial skills.

The Chief Guest, Prof. B. P. Khandelwal in his very inspiring speech addressed the gathering congratulating the scholars and winners for their achievements and school on its phenomenal growth over the years. He further urged the students to prepare themselves to strive in the world of competition by honing their skills and go ahead with confidence in their head and heart. He also dwelt on the importance of moral values in a student's life and advised them to spend quality time with their parents and grandparents.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by the school Vice Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Hajela who expressed a deep sense of gratitude to everyone involved in making the function a grand success.
