SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS
AND EVALUATION

1. The
academic year 2010-2011 will be divided into two semesters and
examinations will be held at the end of each semester.

2. The
syllabus in all subjects (for Classes III-X) will be divided into two
independent semesters. Some basic conceptual portions of English, Hindi
and Maths syllabus will be carried forward to the 2nd Semester
Examination.

3. Weekly
tests will be held in all subjects for all classes according to the
schedule given in the Almanac.
|
4. Evaluation (for classes
III-VIII & XI) will be based on student's continuous academic performance during
the year. Weightage for weekly tests and examinations is given
below:

5. Students
scoring 40% and above in all subjects and in the aggregate will qualify
for promotion to the next class.

6. Attendance
for Monday/Wednesday Test for all classes from III - XII is compulsory. In case the child is unwell, he/she should not be sent to school. Average of the marks scored by him/her in the other tests and exams will be taken for assessment.

7. Grade will
also be given in the following areas of learning Work Experience and
Physical Education.
|
8. Students found using unfair
means during any Weekly Test or Semester Examination will be marked zero
in the subject and given a yellow card. No re-test will be held for such
students. These students will not be eligible for any academic award or
school appointment.

Note:
Weekly test answer sheets and record files will be available in the school book shop. Students are required to buy the same at the beginning of the academic session. Marks for the Monday/Wednesday test must be entered in the almanac and duly signed by the subject teacher and counter signed by parents. |
