This is to inform you that we are starting AIEEE - 2012 preparation classes from 2nd week of January’12 to last week of April’12 in our school premises by the STUDY VAULT. There will be an Entrance Test to get enrollment in the course and this test is scheduled on Friday, 30th December, 12 from 3 pm to 4:30 pm.
STUDY VAULT will be taking the entire academic responsibility and their faculty will be taking classes. The test and other activities will also be a part of the course.

DPS Indirapuram is organizing a Heritage site visit to Sardana (near Meerut) for the students of Heritage club and Class XI Humanities students on Saturday 17th December 2011 at 8.00 a.m.
This place is famous for a 19th century Catholic church built by Begum Samru. This church is dedicated to Mother Mary and has been conferred the dignity of a ‘Minor Basilica’. Sardana also boasts of an ancient Mahadev temple belonging to the ‘Mahabharata period.’
The cost of the trip to & fro for transport will be Rs.150 per child. You are requested to drop your ward at 7.45 a.m. in the school premises and pick him/her up at 1.00 p.m. on Saturday 17th December 2011.

Ed Terra Edventures is an Outdoor Educational Company which designs trips that combine outdoor activity with learning.
The cost of this one day trip is Rs. 525/- which includes – Educational Activities, transport, lunch, entry tickets, full time service of Ed Terra Journey Mentors and light snacks.

This is to inform you that on 26th & 27th July 2011, we will not be able to run all the buses on all the routes, as traffic restrictions will not allow buses to ply in some areas due to Kanwarias movement.
The following buses will not ply on 26th & 27th July 2011 P-1A, P-1B, P-8 B, P-10 A, P-10 B, P-11 A, P-11 B, P-12 and P-13.
We would request parents to kindly drop and pick children of the affected buses so that children do not miss out on teaching time.
You can try to make car pools and drop and pick up your children for two days.
We will not have class test and competitions this week. The Wednesday Test for Classes III to V which was scheduled for 27th July 2011 will now be held on Friday 5th August 2011.

This is being organized by Unified Council, an ISO Certified Organisation. This is an academic and scholastic aptitude competition encouraging learning in Science and Mathematics.

The Learning Centre will work on a multifold agenda and is designed to handle learning difficulties and emotional issues among children and plan intervention for children when required. The three member team consists of a Special Educator, an Occupation Therapist and is headed by Ms. Deepinder Sekhon M.A., B.Ed., ADCGC (Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling) from National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development under the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. She is a consultant in Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj.
The Learning Centre will work in close coordination with the teachers and parents to help children overcome their problems.

It is our constant endeavour at Delhi Public School to provide holistic education to the children. To make that happen, we are partnering with EduSports (www.edusports.in), India’s premier school sports enterprise for the academic year 2011-2012.
EduSports uses structured physical activity and sports as a pedagogical tool for developing mental skills, behavioural skills and physical conditioning in the children. The programme is executed with age-appropriate props and equipment. The programme also includes detailed skill assessments for each child.
At Delhi Public School the structured play session for children of Classes I & II will be conducted by a team of full time trained Edu Sports resources during the Physical Education period in the time table as part of the school curriculum.

We have the following options for the Coaching Classes for Classes IV and V packages :-
1. Weekend Package :- Here the students will learn swimming on the weekends i.e., Saturdays & Sundays from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. (from 7th July to 7th September 2011). The fee for these classes would be for Rs. 2000/- for two months and Rs. 1000 for one month. As the school buses will not be plying during these days, you will have to pick up and drop your ward on your own.
2. After School hours : The students will stay back after school for Swimming from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. thrice a week (from 7th July to 31st August 2011). The days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The fee for this learning session would be Rs. 2000/- for two months and Rs. 1000/- for one month. Children will be picked up by parents at 2.15 p.m. from school.

DPS Indirapuram Reaching Greater Heights
The students of DPS Indirapuram scaled new heights with their outstanding performance in the class XII Board Examinations for the session 2010-2011. Out of the 143 students who appeared in the examination, 142 secured First Division.
Sagrika Gogia was the school topper with an aggregate of 95.4% . She also secured a subject highest of 99 in Mathematics and 98 in Accountancy. Varun Shankar and Akshat Jain stood second with a joint aggregate of 94.8%. Abhilash Dhara secured the Third Position with an aggregate of 94.2%. 23 students scored an overall aggregate of 90% and above. The school average stands at 80.8%.
51 students came out with flying colours as they bagged distinction in all five subjects. The subject wise highest scores were, 98 in Accountancy and Economics, 96 in Biology and Informatics Practices, 94 in Computer Science, 95 in English and Physics, 99 in Mathematics, Business Studies, Physical Education and Political Science and 100 in Psychology.
The total number of distinctions secured were 525.

In our endeavor to groom our children’s personality and develop their confidence, we propose our next EXCURSION CUM EDUCATIONAL TRIP (02 nights and 03 days) from 14th May to 16th May 2011 to NAINITAL – JIM CORBETT on First-Come-First Serve-basis.
This trip is being organized with the expert support of TOURISTA TRAVELS PVT. LTD., which is a well-established Trip & Tours Organization, catering to most of the Delhi Public Schools of Delhi & NCR.
The Schedule and the broad elements of the outing would be as follows:
May 14th : SCHOOL – NAINITAL
Assemble at the school at 0500 hrs to board the coach for Nainital. Breakfast enroute. Arrive Nainital Check in to Hotel & Lunch. After lunch a visit to Naina Devi Temple. Tibetan Market & Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
May 15th :- NAINITAL – JIM CORBETT
After breakfast check out of the Hotel for drive down to Jim Corbett. Enroute visit Bhimtal. Enroute visit Corbett House & Lunch. Check into our resort. Evening enjoy Music at the Resort. Dinner and over night stay at the resort.
May 16th :JIM CORBETT - SCHOOL
Early in the morning we go for a Jeep Safari to explore the wild nature enjoying the freshness of the unpolluted environment and watching animals in their natural surroundings later return to hotel for lunch. After Breakfast visit Garjia Devi Temple and Jim Corbett Museum. After Lunch depart for school. Arrive at school in the evening.
Detailed instructions will be sent to you after the confirmation. Please ensure that the Consent form is filled up and sent back immediately as it will be strictly accepted on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.

Dear Parents,
As you are aware the Annual Examinations have been scheduled from 14th March 2011 to 23rd March 2011. Kindly make a note of the following:
- School will remain closed from 10th March to 13th March 2011 on account of Preparatory Leaves before the exams and on 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th & 22nd March 2011 on account of Preparatory Leaves during the examination period.
- During the Examination days (14th March, 16th March, 18th March, 21st March & 23rd March 2011) children will report directly to their examination rooms and the school timings will be from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. Buses will ply accordingly.
- We would also like to inform the parents that cheating during the exams will be dealt with very strictly. If a child is caught cheating in the exams, he/she will get zero marks and will be suspended from the school.
- Students will come along with their parents to school on Monday, 28th March 2011 between 10.00 am to 01.00 pm to take back their corrected Annual Examination Answer Scripts. No buses will ply on 28th March 2011. Teachers will be available in the school from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm. Changes in marks (if any) will be entertained on 28th March 2011 only. No marks will be changed after this date.
- Promotion list and the new bus routes will be displayed on Thursday, 31st March 2011 at 11.00 am in the Atrium (lower ground floor).
- The school will remain closed for the end of term break from Thursday, 24th March 2011 to Tuesday, 05th April 2011 for classes III & IV and from Thursday, 24th March 2011 to Sunday, 3rd April 2011 for Class V.
