Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that we will be conducting the National Level Science Talent Search Examination –2011 on Sunday 30th January 2011 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon in the school premises. This is being organized by Unified Council an ISO Certified Organization. This is an academic and scholastic aptitude competition encouraging learning in Science and Mathematics.

Merit/Participation Certificates will be provided to all the participants on the basis of their performance. The participants also stand a chance to win a Gold Medal, Cash Awards and Scholarships for the first three in each class (Rank I, II and III)
The fee for the examination is Rs.140/- which includes Question Bank and Model Question Papers of the previous year for all the four papers. Students who opt for student’s performance report (SPR) should add Rs.15/-

Last date for submission of the fee is Tuesday 10th August 2010.

Dear Parents,

This is to bring to your kind attention that we may have to close school from Saturday 2nd October 2010 till Sunday 17th October 2010 (both days inclusive) due to the Commonwealth Games, as our buses will not be allowed to ply in Delhi.

We shall be rescheduling the Half Yearly Examinations and holding them in September 2010. The date sheet as well as the revised syllabus will be sent to you shortly.

Monday test for classes VI to VIII, X & XI which had been scheduled for 6th September 2010 will now be held on 18th August 2010 and the one to be held on 13th September 2010 will now take place on 25th August 2010. Monday test for class IX which had been scheduled for 6th September 2010 will now be held on 25th August 2010.

The following Saturdays will be working to make up for the loss of working days.

31st July 2010, 7th August 2010, 14th August 2010 and 28th August 2010.

Dear Parent,

This is to inform you that Board Registration of Classes IX and XI will be done online for the students appearing in AISSE/AISSCE to be held in March /April 2012. We are enclosing a copy of “Registration Form” to be filled by you. Please note that all-important documents right from the admit card to pass certificates are prepared by the CBSE on the basis of this information. No changes/correction will be done after the submission of this form.

Please send Rs.100/- towards registration fee and two recent passport size (Black & White) photographs of your child clearly indicating the name of the child alongwith the date of taking the photograph. (Photograph should have been taken on or after 01.04.2010)

Dear parents,

You will be glad to know that we are starting Special Coaching Classes for school team (selected students) from Wednesday 21st July 2010 for different games. The timings for these Specialized Coaching Classes for the children in particular games will be in zero period i.e. 7.00 a.m. to 7.50 a.m.

Initially children will be given chance to give trials for selections and once they are selected they will get coaching throughout the year.

These Specialized Coaching Classes will be Free of Cost for the children. We would solicit your involvement and co-operation.

The children should be in the Sports Kit and carry the school uniform, which they will change after their Coaching Classes.

Dear Parents,

This is to request you to kindly send your latest Mobile/ Telephone number to your wards’ class-teacher.

Some parents have changed their mobile numbers and not informed the school. It becomes very difficult for us to inform you if we have to send an SMS urgently. So in your child’s interest kindly ensure that you update us with the latest mobile number or change of address. This will help us to maintain a link between the school and you.

We would also like to remind you that breakfast is the most important meal for the day. Children are coming to school empty stomach and then falling ill in school. Kindly ensure that your ward at least drinks milk / juice/ lassi before coming to school and eats a small snack. Break is at 10:15 AM. so the gap becomes too long.

Dear parents,

As you all know, PIE Education is an institute which is engaged in imparting quality education in India, training students for Boards and entrance level preparation for IIT-JEE /AITEE and other competitive exams. You will be glad to know that PIE education has a very special offer for the DPS Indirapuram students. An exclusive batch, with best faculty made available, will be initiated for DPS Indirapuram students from July, 2010. The discounted fee details and course highlights are given below. The school will also make transport arrangement from the school to the Mayur Vihar Centre, and back to school, three days a week. Timings for the classes will be from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm. This is to once again seek your help & co-operation in moulding the character and personality of our children. Kindly note the following:-

Please do not buy Mobile Phones for your children as then they get tempted to bring them to school and Mobile Phones are not allowed in the school.
Students are not allowed to bring I-Pods / MP3 or pen drives to school.
Children are not allowed to use whiteners or correction fluid in class. So kindly do not send any correction fluid etc. to the school.
Please check your child’s bag and ensure that he/she packs it according to the Time Table every day. Children are unnecessarily carrying heavy bags to school.
Please monitor what your child is watching on T.V. or what sites he is visiting on the Internet. Please do not encourage him / her to be members or Orkut or Face Book, as children are wasting valuable studying time in indulging in casual conversation on these sites.

DPS Indirapuram once again proved its excellence by giving an outstanding result in the CBSE class X examination.

Total 236 students had appeared and all passed in this exam. There was no third division, failure and compartment. Out of 236 students 23 students secured A1 grade in all five subjects. 37 students secured A1 grade in four subjects.

Indo German Exchange Program 2010

In collaboration with DPS Society and Max Mueller Bhavan, 13 students of DPS Indirapuram along with one teacher Ms. Priya John are on a visit to Germany from 28th April to 19th May 2010.

Indo French Exchange Program 2010

In collaboration with Milna, (an organization associate loi de juillet 1901) DPS Indirapuram is organizing an Indo-French Exchange Program from 20th May to 30th May 2010. 13 Indian students who are presently learning French, in the age group of 12-15 yrs, along with two teachers are going to Colleg Anatole, France for this Exchange Program.

VIII International Summer School of Russian Language-Moskoviya 2010

Department of Education, Government of Moscow has organized VIII International Summer School of Russian Language-Moskoviya 2010 from 6th July to 28th July 2010. The following 3 students of Class X of DPS Indirapuram have been selected for the same.

YOUTH CAMPS

Trishi Kamboj of DPS Indirapuram has been selected to participate in the Youth camp being organized by Goethe Institut Germany at Beielefeld from July 4 to 24th July 2010.

Naman Jain and Rohan Kapoor of Class X have been selected to participate in the Youth Camp for German Language Learners from South Asia, being organized by Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi from 21st to 27th June 2010 at Thekkady in Kerala.

A Pasch youth Camp for German Language Learners from South Asia is being organized from 22nd to 28th May 2010 by the DPS Society in association with Max Mueller Bhavan at DPS R.K. Puram, New Delhi. Aditya Dhingra and Nadeem Arbaz have been selected to participate in the same.

JENESYS 2010

Tisa Majumder and Srishti Jain have been selected by the Japan Foundation New Delhi for JENESYS 2010 and they will be visiting Japan from 23rd June to 2nd July 2010.
