This is with reference to yesterdays report in the press regarding the incident at DPS Indirapuram. After speaking to the Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai and the teachers and administrative staff present at the scene of the incident, it was obvious that the whole incident was premeditated and planned. Following a written complaint of child molestation of a class III girl child, the Principal Mrs Meeta Rai asked the Yoga teacher Mr. Rakesh Tripathi to resign or face suspension & enquiry. Mr. Rakesh Tripathi willingly resigned. The resignation was approved by the Chairman DPS Society and Mr. Rakesh Tripathi was informed. On the afternoon of 28th April'08, Mrs. Ritu Tripathi, wife of Mr. Rakesh Tripathi came to see the Principal and argued about the molestation case in favour of her husband. When she did not get a favourable response from the Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai who tried to explain to her that the matter was closed, she resorted to verbal abuse and started physically assaulting her. She was accompanied by another lady Jaya Mishra who joined her in the physical & violent assault of the Principal. Since the school had closed, there were very few people around, on hearing the frantic screaming of the Principal, few teachers & administrative staff, reached to rescue the Principal. The Police was called who tried to control the two ladies. The ladies further threatened the Principal that they would fabricate the case against her and politicise the issue. This was proved right as within half an hour, Rakesh Tripathi had collected a crowd of politicians and party workers, & shouted slogans against the police.
