SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS AND EVALUATION

1. The academic year 2007-2008 will be divided into two semesters and examinations will be held at the end of each semester.
Class III-IX
                       1st Semester Exam September, 2007 / October 2007
                       2nd Semester Exam Feb 2008 (Class IX), March 2008 (III-VIII)
Class X
                   Mid Term
July, 2007
                       1st Pre-Board Exam
November, 2007
                2nd Pre-Board Exam
January, 2008
2. The syllabus in all subjects (for Classes III-IX) will be divided into two independent semesters. Some basic conceptual portions of English, Hindi and Maths syllabus will be carried forward to the 2nd Semester Examination.
3. Weekly tests will be held in all subjects for all classes according to the schedule given in the Almanac.

4. Evaluation (for classes III-IX) will be based on student's continuous academic performance during the year. Weightage for weekly tests and examinations is given below:

5. Class XI Evaluation will be based on the student's academic performance in the final exam and Monday test of 2nd semester only.
6. Students scoring 40% and above in all subjects and in the aggregate will qualify for promotion to the next class.
7. Attendance for Monday Test for all classes from III - X is compulsory.
8. Grade will also be given in the following areas of learning Work Experience and Physical Education.

9. Students found using unfair means during any Weekly Test or Semester Examination will be marked zero in the subject and given a yellow card. No re-test will be held for such students. These students will not be eligible for any academic award or school appointment.

10.  Criteria for the award of a scholar badge.

Awards:
1st Proficiency Highest marks secured in the class in aggregate.
2nd Proficiency
Subject Proficiency: For highest marks secured in the class in a subject.
